Get out the brooms!

Oh, yeah, those Deadbirds fans are freaking out! They are still saying they "shouldn't be losing to the Reds" or making excuses like "half our team is hurt" (oh yeah? Well, half of our bullpen shouldn't have Major League uniforms on, but we're still winning, and not just against you, Deadbirds!)

Face it, without Pujols, you are nothing. And here's another pin for you!

Should I take another sip of kool-aid?

or should i say "moran."

You know, the only people I've ever heard use the term "Deadbirds" are eight year-old Cub fans. And judging from your response, that must be what you are.

Perhaps you could take a lesson from other Reds (or Nationals or Giants - I can't tell what the hell team you root for) fans and show some class. Or at least respect for your opponents. You appear to be a snotty child otherwise.

Daedalus is neither a racist nor a snotty eight-year-old child.
The "moran" comment is taken, without its original context, from a funny post over at red-hot-mama.com.
You have chosen to remain anonymous, and that shows a lack of class on your part, in my opinion.
From what I have read, she has plenty of respect for the game, and for each and every team out there.

Anon,

Boy, you really are a moran. You don't get themes, you don't get motifs, and you most certainly don't get the "spiritual side of baseball."

But of course, you are so quick to play the "race card" that you've demonstrated your utter lack of capacity for intellect and analysis. Before you opened your mouth, perhaps you should have done a little research, looked at another post or two, and instead of being vile and vindictive, taken it all for the good nature it is supposed to be. Grow up. Get a sense of humor.

By the way, your team is not the team of 2005. Without Pujols, the Cardinals are nothing.

And yes, I misspelled moran on purpose. But you probably don't understand that either.

The "Moran" picture has been around on Cub sites for several years, fyi. If daedalus does have respect for the game, it does not come out in her recent posts. Respectful fans do not disrespect other teams by a) taking joy in their injuries or b) calling them childish names.

You may think I'm not showing class by remaining anonymous, you're entitled to that opinion. I happen to think that wishing injuries for players on other teams is classless. It'll also bite you in the ass.

The spiritual side of the game?

What are you, the Colorado Rockies?

Cathie said...

Uh, I never wished injury on anyone. The whole point of the thing was a joke in hopes that the Cardinals would start losing so the Reds could catch them.

I like Pujols. I certainly did not want to see him injured.

You, however, have caused me to have little respect for Cardinals "fans" who get all pissed off when their team starts losing.

the "spiritual side of the game" means the non-numbers side of the game. are you the guy in the picture?

Yeah, I'm the guy in the picture with a sweet mullet and/or nice 'stache.

In fact, Carl Monday just watched me beat off in a library. I was like a retarded kid in a room full of balloons. Go Ohio State!

I never meant to imply that "morans" has not been seen elsewhere, only that a blog that Daedalus and I read featured it yesterday.
No one is "taking joy" in the Pujols injury. I have said on several occasions that he is the best player in baseball. Bar none. And I was sincerely hoping that he would break every record he could this year. (And if not this year, he might still do it next year!)
As for Voodoo Albert, he was around before the injury. I believe that all Daedalus was going for was a few 0-5 performances at the plate, especially against the Reds - nothing more.
Believe me when I say that Reds fans are well aware of how injuries effect teams. (Read: Ken Griffey, Jr.) No one wants to see these things happen, and I repeat that Daedalus has said, many times, that she has no wish to see any player injured.
