MASN Brings Home 11 Spring Training Games
MASN to televise 4 Nats vs. O's games - March 3, 9, 30, 31
MASN to debut Nats Xtra and O's Xtra during final week
(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Giving baseball fans even more access to their home teams, the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network will broadcast eleven live Spring Training baseball games in 2007. Starting March 3, MASN will televise nine games from Florida as well as two final exhibition games played in Norfolk, Virginia and at RFK Stadium.
Fans can watch Baltimore and Washington renew their rivalry with four games between the Orioles and Nationals. Just prior to Opening Day of the regular season, the Nationals and Orioles will meet in Norfolk, VA for an exhibition, and again in RFK Stadium in Washington, DC the next day.
MASN will debut its new pre-game and post-game shows, O's Xtra and Nats Xtra for three of the last games in March. These 30-minute programs will showcase Nationals and Orioles news, analysis, highlights, and interviews in a way only MASN can deliver.
All eleven games will be aired live exclusively on MASN with rebroadcasts aired in primetime that same day for afternoon games, or the following day for night games.
Last year, only 2 Orioles spring training games were televised and only 4 Nationals games were aired. The newly announced Spring Training schedule will allow fans to catch a first glimpse of their favorite players as well as exciting new MASN programming.
"MASN is offering unmatched access to the Nationals and Orioles this year, starting with an unprecedented 11 Spring Training games on television," said MASN spokesman Todd Webster. "MASN is bringing fans inside the game with complete baseball coverage all season long."
MASN's Spring Training lineup includes some of the best teams in Major League Baseball as the Orioles and Nationals take on the Astros, Mets, Red Sox, Braves, Dodgers, and Cardinals.
