Useless information from Sports Illustrated (which I am still getting though I cancelled it after Gameday Audio screw ups sent it to me): Six years after defecting from Cuba, Osvaldo Fernandez won four [2001] April starts, tying him with Schilling, Glavine, and Wade Miller for the NL lead. They all went on to win at least 16 games - except Fernandez, who finished 5-6.I think Bronson has a bit better stuff than Fernandez.
More useless info: Catchers Jason LaRue and David Ross have the same birthday (3/19). Javy Valentin's is on their half birthday (9/19). I don't know why I notice these things.
