I was watching the MLB Network again last night and caught a bit of the clip of the Teixeira news conference with him donning the pinstripes, and I sort of laughed, not because he's a big dork with those cherub cheeks, but because I knew that the Bankee$ were paying bailout money to the free agent market and they weren't going to get anything but a depression for it.One would think from their past failures that they would learn spending that kind of dough doesn't mean you're going to get to the Series. They've done well in recent years in developing their own talent, but it seems they are content to buy October this year. It's going to come back and bite them in the pinstripes, especially since they don't have the ghosts roaming the field to protect them any more. May that new stadium bring them one hundred years of misery!
