Two things stood out that made me think of you. First, that the first baseball game was played at Elysian Fields, and second, that Alexander Cartwright's middle name was Joy. I know baseball likes the myth of Abner Doubleday, but the reality is so poetic too. A man named Joy holds the first game on fields of paradise. Awesome.
